Derbigum has over 75 years of roofing experience. The story begins in 1932 with the creation of Imperbel, a family business producing waterproofing mastics, located in Lot, south of Brussels, Belgium.

Derbigum made its introduction to the United States roofing market in 1979 when a group of roofing contractors-turned-investors purchased the marketing and manufacturing rights. They offered American building owners a durable alternative to failing built-up roofs and flimsy EPDM and PVC single ply membranes.

Today, Derbigum is an undisputed industry leader. With 350 employees, worldwide, the company is present across the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia. Three production sites (2 in Belgium and 1 in the U.S.) turn out over 161 million square feet of bitumen membranes and 77 million lbs of liquid products annually.

When American subsidiary PRS needed to update its accounting and CRM systems, they chose Dynamics GP and CRM, along with Associates Solutions as their partner.

They were experiencing the pains of duplicate entry, non-compliant screens and inflexible reporting. PRS needed a robust CRM system to support all their interactions with their customer base as their current system was not adequate. With the help of Scribe Insight, PRS could tightly integrate. Dynamics GP and Dynamics CRM systems would be a key driver in the decision as well. By integrating the two systems, Sales Orders can be drafted in CRM and imported into their accounting system. This will prevent costly and error prone double entry, reduce the time that it takes for customers to be invoiced, and ultimately improve cash flow. With tools such as FRx, SQL Reporting Services, Crystal Reports and Dynamics GP’s Smartlists, PRS would have the best tools to report on performance.
